Have you read FM 5.5 yet?

KING HENRY AND THE THREE LITTLE TRIPS did far better than any other side work I've published, but not anywhere near what normal novels do.  So I know there are quite a few of you that skipped it thinking it was no big deal.

Can't say it was a BIG deal, but it was a deal.  It has a lot of info a fan of the series would want to know.  Info that when I release the mainline sample chapter for FM6 sometime next month will immediately be spoiled, including a character's death.

So consider this your final warning, buy that book now if you want to read it fresh and unspoiled.

  2. Was an excellent read. Don't think of it as a 'side' book at all. Love your work. Can't wait for FM6. R.R. Rules!

    1. I suppose I am as far as fans willing to visit the blog are concerned. Still, does make me sad how many skipped it. The Plutarch/KH scene about Mini's origins is one of my favorite comedic scenes I've written.

Also, getting my fans to willingly try side works, standalones, and eventually another series remains a big problem going forward. Love KH as much as any of you, but I've got so many other characters inside of me and so many strange and wondrous worlds to explore!

  4. 5.5 was so much better than a short 'side' story. So many juicy tidbits to mull over during the long winter between KH mainline books. Those that missed it, are literally missing out. And from a personal viewpoint, as much as I like the trope of the school story interweaving between the mainline story of the usual books, it was a nice change of pace to read from a singular perspective for an extended period of time.

  5. I couldn't get it on Amazon release night for some reason so I created an account on that indie ebook store just because I was so impatient. It was great-really looking forward to the next installment.

  6. Read it twice, loved it. Especially loved T-Bone stepping out of KH's shadow and proving just how devious he can be when the need arises.

  7. Got it, read several times. Will be rereading the series as we get closer to release.
