Still Alive, It's Hot

Typical Fresno summer period where its super hard to be motivated to do anything but just exist in misery when its triple digits outside and even with AC you've been sucking the same air for a week and your air purifier is looking at you judgmentally.  "Stop farting!  Stop shedding!  Why does the cat have to be so fluffy and ginger, huh?!?"

Got two more scenes to get through on this chapter.  Found myself writing a really lovely character motivated scene that was sadly pretty pointless plot wise, so brought ANOTHER tea spill that was planned for a later chapter and stuck it in, giving it a purpose and it works rather nicely.  Lately, I find myself more interested in characters confessing information than our POVs being surprised by revelations later, though there's plenty of that for Vicky in this novel too.

So yeah, slow progress is still progress, even if it is so very frustrating when the novel is again shaping up to be the size of most ACME anvils.  Already looking forward to autumn and winter, when it's cold and my brain will work properly!  When, apparently, El Nino is supposed turn California into one giant mud slide...and cause famine in the entirety of Eastern Asian...you get an apocalypse and you get an apocalypse, and everyone gets an apocalypse!!!
