Alive and stick kicking. Well...not kicking. My brain is telling me that's a quote from a movie, one moment while I search it...and it's from Wild Wild West, why haven't I successfully forgotten that whole disaster by now, brain?!?
What have I been up to? I'm stuck in edit hell. Preemptive edit hell. The worst of edit hells. The Vicky novel needed a facelift and I've been going through and rewriting various scenes, mostly having to do with Heinrich Welf and Tyson and giving Danielle and Juliette some time too since I know those characters so much better now after writing Seismic Semester.
Or at least that was last month, now I'm into what I wrote early this year while in all that pain and just...everything is a mess. I think I mentioned this in the August post, but when I was writing this 100 something pages I'm reworking now, it wasn't just the pain that was the biggest obstacle, but the exhaustion and brain fog of not being able to remember what I wrote two, even one week earlier and just being too tired to go back and look for it with the attitude of "I'll fix it later".
Well...it's later.
So that's what I'm doing, fixing all of that.
THE AMOUNT OF RED ON THE PAGES IS TERRIFYING!!!
And I'm adding new writing on top of that, so some pages the whole back is covered too, even on to the next page.
