Seismic Semester Q&A

Ask away.  Might take a day or two for me to respond when real life gets in the way, but I'll try to be quicker than that.  Obviously I...

RFA On Friday

Can't really type or use a mouse much, so quick one.  Neck/shoulder/hand has been really bad.  Like, can't hold a pen for longer than a minute bad.  My life has been lying in bed watching TV and reading, trying to ignore that everything hurts.  No progress on the Vicky novel this month, needless to say.

Luckily, the spine docs had already scheduled the RFA month before last and it will start on Friday.  As usual, two step process, two weeks apart, need about 10 days to recover after each step.  So I'll update all of you late April, hopefully feeling much better.

Really happened at a bad time.  Vicky novel's innards are all over the operating table with that rewrite finally almost complete.  Had just figured out I needed to yank a scene from one chapter to the next and how to connect everything together.

And I can't game AT ALL, just as I finally reached Baldur's Gate in Act 3!

  1. Sorry to hear you're suffering again(/still) - truly sucks. Hope it all goes well, and don't rush the recovery - we'll all still be here whenever you're up to writing again!

  2. Take care of yourself, boss. Have been discovering what chronic pain does to one's writing schedule myself of late. Feel better. Find time for games. Read good books (I am finding Sebastien de Castell quite good... "Traitor's Blade" and "Malevolent Seven".) Best wishes for a rapid recovery. Trey

  4. Don't give a fuck if we need to wait longer for the Vicky novel Raley. Take care of yourself so you can actually get back to doing the writing you like and not being frustrated with the pain causing you to not be happy with your writing. If you need something to draw your attention after BG3, I'd suggest the new Dresden Files book Twelve Months. It's a pretty nice cool down from the more recent books and a pretty solid look at the journey of handling depression.
